Terms of Service

By accessing and using FootballersCV ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Platform.

FootballersCV provides an online platform connecting football players with scouts, coaches, clubs, and other football professionals. The Platform allows players to create professional CVs, showcase their skills, and connect with opportunities in the football industry.

3.1 Account Registration

You must create an account to use certain features of the Platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Minors and Parental Consent

Users under the age of 16 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to create an account. When registering, users under 16 must:

• Provide their parent or guardian's email address
• Confirm they have obtained permission from their parent or guardian
• Ensure all information provided is accurate and complete

Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring and supervising their child's use of the Platform. We may contact parents or guardians to verify consent and may suspend or terminate accounts if we cannot verify parental consent.

3.4 Account Types

• Player Accounts: For football players to create and manage their CVs
• Professional Accounts: For scouts, coaches, clubs, and agents to search and connect with players

4.1 Your Responsibility

You retain ownership of all content you submit, post, or display on the Platform ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, publish, transmit, and display such content.

4.2 Promotional Use of Your Profile

By creating a public CV, you agree that FootballersCV may feature your profile photo, gallery images, videos, name, position, club, and other public CV content in our own promotional materials. This includes social media posts (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn), the FootballersCV homepage, blog articles, success stories, email newsletters to scouts and clubs, and paid advertising.

We will only use content you have already chosen to make public on your CV. You can opt out at any time by emailing privacy@footballerscv.com or by setting your CV to Unlisted in your account settings. We will remove or stop using the content within a reasonable period after your request.

For users under 16, this promotional use also requires parental or guardian consent given during signup (see our Privacy Policy, Section 8). A parent or guardian may withdraw promotional consent at any time without deleting the account.

4.3 Content Standards

You agree not to post User Content that:

• Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
• Infringes any third party's intellectual property or other rights
• Contains viruses or other harmful computer code
• Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or discriminatory
• Contains explicit or graphic descriptions or accounts of sexual acts

4.4 Verification

Players may apply for verification badges. FootballersCV reserves the right to verify submitted information and approve or deny verification requests at our sole discretion.

5.1 Premium Features

Certain features of the Platform require payment ("Premium Features"), including but not limited to:

• Verified badges
• Featured listings
• Priority placement in search results

5.2 Payments

All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). By purchasing Premium Features, you agree to pay all fees and applicable taxes.

5.3 Refunds

All sales are final unless otherwise required by law. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

The Opportunity Marketplace allows clubs, academies, and other organizations to post trials, camps, and position openings. FootballersCV acts solely as a platform to connect parties and is not responsible for:

• The accuracy of opportunity postings
• The conduct of any party participating in opportunities
• The outcome of any applications or interactions
• Any agreements made between players and organizations

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Scrape, spider, or use automated means to access the Platform
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
• Harass, abuse, or harm another person or group
• Post or transmit spam or unsolicited messages

The Platform and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by FootballersCV and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. FOOTBALLERSCV MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOOTBALLERSCV SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FootballersCV and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which FootballersCV operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
