What verified means for your profile
A short read on how scouts use FootballersCV, and why the verified badge matters to them.
How scouts use FootballersCV
Scouts open the platform with a job to do. They filter by position, age and location, then scan results in seconds. From there they pick a small shortlist of profiles worth a closer look. The bar to be on that shortlist is trust. A scout will not spend ten minutes on a CV they cannot quickly believe.
What the verified badge tells a scout
The verified badge means a human at FootballersCV has reviewed the profile. Stats, club, footage and any references have been checked. The player and the people behind the CV are real.
That accountability is the reason scouts shortlist verified profiles first. With an unverified CV there is nothing standing behind the numbers, so most scouts simply skim past and move on to the next one.
What we check during verification
- Your identity and date of birth
- Your current club and recent playing history
- That your highlight video is your own footage
- Any coach or scout references you've added
Once we are happy everything checks out, the badge sits on your CV and your search card. From that point a scout knows what they are looking at.
